CLASSES - CHRISTCHURCH YOGA

Christchurch Yoga classes are taught by Rebecca Boot, a Yoga teacher with over 20 years experience as well as being a Registered Nurse and Midwife. Classes are available both online and at various locations around Christchurch, New Zealand. Suitable for all levels of students, Hatha Yoga, FlyHighYoga, Yoga Nidra, Pregnancy, Restorative and Therapeutic Yoga.

Rebecca's classes are safe and supportive and classes are kept small to ensure every student receives a high level of guidance. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see a full list of classes offered.

Due to COVID-19, bookings are required and cancellations must be made no later than two hours before the start of class to avoid being charged the full fee. We are taking every measure to ensure your safety, reducing our class sizes and maintaining 1 metre spacing between mats. Please bring your own Yoga mat.

PREGNANCY
 
  • Rebecca is a Registered Nurse, Midwife and Yoga Teacher – you will find her pre-natal yoga classes safe and supportive.
     

  • Gentle and safe exercise

  • No prior yoga experience necessary

fly high yoga

Fly High Yoga is a popular and new style of aerial yoga. It started in 2012 in Ubud, Bali with the development of the Fly High Yoga Belt. This belt is a simple and unique tool for a gravity-defying, creative, fun, precise and alignment-based style of yoga.

 

With the Fly High Yoga belt, you are able to do regular yoga poses (and other gravity-defying moves) in a supported way. This makes the progression of your practice easier, more precise, more intense and more fun!

 

FlyHighYoga is a bridge to good physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing for all yoga practitioners.

YOGA NIDRA

This is the Ultimate Relaxation Experience, No physical exercise involved, this is a deeply restorative guided meditation which can help relieve the effects of a busy and active life.

 

Yoga Nidra can open a doorway to a place where we can see ourselves and our lives in the most positive light.

This is an online-only livestream class. It is the perfect way to unwind and experience a deeply restorative practice in the comfort of your own home

PREGNANCY YOGA

Pregnancy Yoga classes are held on Thursdays at 5pm. Piko Studio on Kilmore Street. Also available are private session by appointment in a custom built studio. Rebecca is a Registered Nurse, Midwife, Yoga Teacher and mother. She offers safe and supportive classes to help  build strength and confidence for childbirth and alleviate backache, cramps and heartburn.

 

No yoga experience is necessary.

remedial yoga

Remedial Yoga is currently offered online in combination with yoga suitable for injury, pregnancy and relaxation, or via appointmetn

 

Remedial Yoga blends restorative yoga (supported postures), gentle yoga, breathwork,  and guided breathing techniques combined in such a way that it is an excellent choice for those who need something gentle yet effective for bringing the body into balance and reducing stress.

post-natal yoga

Post-Natal Yoga is a fun class for mothers and babies through to crawling age children. This class is designed to recharge your body and lift your spirits, and help your body to bounce back after child birth.

Every class includes a 15 minute baby massage. No experience necessary.

one-on-one yoga

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner looking to advance their practice, or are recovering from an injury, Rebecca will work with you to create an individualised programme.

 

The tips and guidance you gain from these sessions can taken into your own personal practise as well as being a useful guide when attending general classes.
