TRAUMA SENSITIVE YOGA CLASSES

Trauma Sensitive Yoga Classes.

Offering 1:1 individual sessions in the privacy of your own home or in the yoga studio.

Rebecca has a wide range of experience, with over 25yrs as a Yoga teacher, she is also a REGISTERED Nurse and Midwife.

Rebecca has worked with varying levels of trauma, from Brain and Spinal injuries to survivors of domestic violence and those suffering from anxiety, depression and PTSD.

​

Completion of the Trauma- Sensitive Yoga Foundation workshop, for youth and adults affected by PTSD, CPTSD.

​

Trauma is deeply distressing and survivors can often experience long term effects, which means attending a group yoga class can be very difficult or even impossible.

 

Yoga can help restore your nervous system and allow the space within yourself to heal.

Offering gentle movement in a safe environment to help you notice what you feel in your body. This gentle practice can help you regain a sense of control, connection and ownership of your body again.

Mindful movement, reflective breathing to reconnect and move in ways that feel helpful to you.

In these sessions you are provided with flexibility and personal choice on how to participate in the movements offered.

The program content is flexible and the choice is entirely yours.

Working together we define your focus, this includes your relationship with yourself and others, breath work and meditation.

YOGA NIDRA

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation practised completely lying down. It is excellent for overcoming stress and trauma.

REMEDIAL YOGA

Remedial Yoga blends restorative yoga (supported postures), gentle yoga, breath work, hands-on adjustments, and guided breathing techniques. combined in such a way that it is an excellent choice for those who need something gentle yet effective for bringing the body into balance and reducing stress.

 

Remedial Yoga is a deeply meditative experience - it provides the opportunity to step away from the busy-ness of the outside world and access the deeper wisdom that resides within us. 

​

Manage pain, both chronic and acute forms, stress and anxiety, insomnia or other emotional difficulties. 

Also for those living with any Physical disability, Remedial Yoga is an ideal option.

The recommendation would be to begin with a bundle of 5 sessions.

This allows for the relationship to develop and time to work towards any goals you may have.
